...I must downgrade. After a 20+ year in broadcast TV "humpin' all those cameras and other TV gear", and after lower spinal fusion, severe back pain and now, osteoarthritis in all my joints, I'm home, unable to work and have filed for disability. I need to sell the S&W M76 SMG to get some much needed cash for bills. My Bride is the only one bringing in an income. So, hopefully, someone will buy it, and I'll try to find something of lesser value to re-invest in...so, I stay vested in the C3 market. Hope it all works out that way. I feel the price I'm asking is fair, but it may be too much for many people to buy. So, it may come to pass that I'll have to sit on the M76 and try to sell off some of my Title 01 stuff. I have an ad running on GunBoards.com's Trader Listing Board.
Anyway, thanks for your responses, gentlemen. Kimbo...out.

Kim:
Sorry you have to post your S&W 76 FOR SALE....
I think $7K is a little too high, but you never know. There is another 76 on Subguns for $6K in new condition. And a MK760 for $5K (which I think is too high).
I say if you can't get $5,800 for your 76, keep it another 6 months...

Very sorry to hear of your situation.
If it makes you feel any better, you described my situation as of a couple of years ago, and it has worked out OK for us.
I've been home from work (airline mech) since Feb '01 with a back injury/condition (four torn-degenerated discs). My wife makes our income. I did have some disability insurance that I bought through work, it it's only so much, and good for so long.
We knew it was coming someday, but were scared to death when it did.
I tell you this not to say, "Oh yeah, me too", but to tell you the good parts-
I've become a stay-at-home-Dad, which is good by itself. And the kids (one born since then) have yet to see daycare.
It made us look at our financial situation, and make adjustments. Believe it or not, we seem to have more, and owe less, than before.
I don't go out and buy SMGs anymore, but that's OK. The average age of our cars is newer than before.
My Dad had a stroke last year, and he died from complications. I may not have seen him much in the last couple of years had I been working. Plus, I got to spend considerable time at the hospital with him.
I've been free to help my Mom since then.
That's a few things that just popped into my head. There's more, and your situation may be a lot different, but you get the idea.
Doctors looked at fusion for me, but by the time they really got serious, my condition worsened and they would've had to fuse more verts than they try to limit it too. I'm waiting for artificial discs to get a little better.
I did get an electronic stimulator surgically implanted. You're probably familiar with the TENS unit- this is like a super-duper TENS, and is permanent.
It works, giving me a lot of relief.
