The spot faces you see are for RTV Silicone. I'm recommending de-greasing the gun, wipe a very little oil film in each spot face, dab a little RTV in each spot face, and install the rail.
The RTV will not allow the rail to slide during recoil. The clamps are milled at a slight angle where they mount to the optic rail so they give a preload/tight fit on the tube. RTV just prevents the rail from moving. The RTV is rubbed off the tube by hand if you remove the rail. The light oil film will allow you to remove the optic rail so it won't be glued to the tube.

No production plans. A guy in Ga. asked me to make it. I'll make them per request.

I'm the one that has the mount, it is high quality, excellent design , perfect fit on my 76. You can see through to the iron sights when no optics mounted. Planning to put an EOTECH atop. When I'm done I'll post pixs.

I finally mounted the bracket , yes I did the ATV glue trick and mounted a EOTECH 551 on it, just came back from the range and the 760 now can chew the center out of a standard siloutte at 25 yds.

Mark the position of your barrel or your POI might change. (if you remove/reinstall the barrel)

I plan to center punch the barrel and find some suitable place on the receiver to punch too. Your mount was key in updating my optics. again nice work.

I think welding the barrel nut to the barrel (or using a key to time the barrel to the nut) is a good idea. DAN0341 IIRC said he fixed the nut to the barrel on a barrel I made with a UZI thread adapter on it. It's a good idea.

I wish you had made this before I tried many different methods of adding a sight to my 76. I ended up with a new shroud. Yours is clean and nice. How much are they?

I mounted an eotech, and it works great. Mine wasnt cut down the middle, it was solid, so I couldnt use my metal sights, But I dont really miss them.If you put it on correctly, its sopposed to come off without problems though I havent wanted to remove it. Still waiting on my suppressor, cant wait to shoot without those big ear muffs. ER

I've made @13 over the past year and not sure if the demand is still here, but:
5 pcs $98.00 delivered
10 pcs $84.75 delivered
Ohio add 6.5% tax
