I saw the Lafrance M16K .45. It uses Thompson mags. Is the Lafrance a new lower? Can a Thompson mag fit in a M16 lower? Can I just get the Lafrance upper? Thanks again guys!!!!!!!!!!

You can modify a Grease Gun mag to fit an AR15/M16 unmodified lower. It requires that you remove the wrap around reinforcement on the mag and that you squeeze the portion of the mag that will be placed in the lower. Oly Arms used to do this and then weld a tab on the back to fill the rest of the lower. If you read the tacked thread on AR15.com in the pistol and rimfire section about Sten mag blocks for Colt style uppers you will see how to make a mag block to do this. The sten mag block may need to be resized to fit a Grease Gun mag. If you want to use an Oly upper you can weld the tab on like Oly did, or look into a SOCOM Sten block for Oly uppers. I don't think anyone is doing it yet. There are so many projects that were put on hold because of the ban that there is a bit of a backlog of good ideas getting worked on. I don't think people are investing much yet either in case the ban comes back. They don't want to spend the money to tool up and have the rug pulled out from under them again. I think your on your own on this one. Good luck.

Thanks Paul, did the Olympic use a some-what of a uzi .45 mag? Do Olympic has these .45 mags? I would like to have a .45 smg upper for my M16. The grease gun mags sound hard to do. Thanks again
