OK, so I read that the C3 rapid Loader is not made anymore, and to my dismay I missed the post for the clips on the steals and deals page.

The article on this forum under the C3 rapid Loader page says that the clips from the Swedish K practice ammo works for the loader.

Any ideas where to get the Swedish K clips? I don't really want the ammo, but if need be I imagine I can use it in something. Where can one find the ammo?

Thanks.

Dick

I'm not aware of any specific source. It seems that when people shoot their practice ammo, the clips come up for sale. Browse various websites and be ready to buy. You could look at uzitalk.com, subguns.com, and possibly gunbroker.com. You could post a "WTB" ad on various boards. You may even have an offer in this thread. They seem to sell for around $1.00 each (give or take).

Centerfire systems and Southern Ohio Gun sell the ammo. Centerfire Systems is way cheaper, IIRC.

Gun Parts Corp. sells a loader and 5 stripper clips for $60. http://www.e-gunparts.com/product.asp?chrProductSKU=297000D&MC= . Check here and subguns and Sturm boards and you will find someone willing to part with the strippers for about a buck each.

Hey fuautos. The stripper clips are for the new guy (Dick). Hell, I must have a hundred of 'em. I love the "B" type K's with the removeable magwell. A buddy has one and it seems like it runs forever with the drum.

Fuautos,

Yes please, if you have some left over, I would like to get them from you.

Where can I get a practice barrells for my guns if I would want to get some ammo? S/W 76, UZI and Sterling are what I have in 9mm.

It says will not cycle in semi autos? Have you found this to be true. If so, not a good choice for an SMG i guess.

Thanks in advance Fuautos!!

Hi Dick

Here's an old thread. You may want to PM the seller to see what he has. Fuatos also had some barrels awhile back that are solid and shoot straighter. They also cost more.

All practice barrels I'm aware of are SMG profile barrels.

I don't think barrels for the practice ammo are available for the Sterling, but are for the Uzi and SW76.

The ammo will not cycle in a semi auto or SMG _unless_ you have the special barrel.

When I let people shoot my Uzi the only thing I use is the practice ammo because it's so cheap. I had a bunch of the clips for sale but now they are gone. The next time I go shooting and burn up more of this stuff I'll have more clips available, just like the other guys on this board.

The best thing to do is just keep an eye on the ad boards for the clips and pounce as soon as you see them become available, because they don't last long.

Hey DIck, welcome aboard.

I looked into getting one of those practice ammo barrels made for a semi, but it would have been more expensive than for the SMG since I'd have to take an SMG barrel and add an extension to keep it legal. Around that time, the practice ammo suddenly went up in price to the point where it would no longer be cost effective to have one made so I dropped the idea. I don't know if anyone ever got one made for an SA, but it's possible.

I have a C3 loader, you can load a magazine in a few seconds. Only thing I did not like was loading the clips. So I made a delrin block to hold the bullets in place to slide on the clips. I do 2 rows at a time. No more cuts on the hands and fingers.

I haven't tried yet but the 9mm blocks that wolf ammo comes in is pretty close to the spacing of the stripper clips....

You should try the Sellier & Bellot ammo, it comes in little plastic holders that work perfectly.

Special thanks to TOAD for the UZI C3 loader and all the advice on the Swedish practice ammo, and to jb573 for the sub cal barrell.

Wow does that loader work nice and fast!

the Swedish ammo works great and cycles well in full auto mode with the barrell.

800+ rounds for $29 and the C3 loader are a lot of fun for the weekend and the savings have already paid for the parts

Good luck all!

I bought 30 of the C III loaders when they were selling them for $9.50 each. I knew that price wouldn't last.:D
