EXCELLENT ebay info!

wading through all that air soft crap on ebay while looking for cool uzi stuff has always pissed me off. I finally figured out how to exclude them and HAD to share it with you guys. If you precede the search items with a - they will be excluded. Here is my improved uzi search on ebay.....

In the search box
uzi -(airsoft, air, soft, water, toy)

Now don't go screwing me on any good auctions!

HEY THANKS!! That was always my problem with ebay, there are TONS of pages of stuff that sometime isnt even uzi related. Or some gold uzi style jewerly.

eBay banned my action arms pouches as being "assault weapons accessories."

They said I could relist them if I removed the "uzi" patch that is sewn onto each pouch and did not include the box that indicated "uzi" and "25 round."

I've wondered why they still allow sales of airsoft and toy guns?

Perhaps the loss of thousands of 35-50 something single male customers that live in their mommies' basements would be too much of an economic hit for eBay?

And any word you put in parentheses (spelling?) will be omitted from the search?
You should put a comma inbetween words?
I guess I could try it and see what works, but I'm feeling sorta lazy today. :)

firefighter, if you don't want to worry about getting the syntax correct, you can click on their "Advanced search" option and you just type in the words to exclude. It will build the proper search string for you.

If you do searches for M249 and M60... there are guys selling parts for Machineguns in their stores and such...

Its a search engine issue and as long as you can describe your item without using uzi for example.... lovely pouches UZING ... the search engine picks up UZI in UZIng and the california Anti's don't have a clue about IMI or Vector... use "No need for Magazine Subscription....

I enjoy messing with them to see what I can get away with for the hell of it.
