Pretty much identical , Minor cosmetic differences and the same price, $275.00
I've been throughly pleased with the conversion I got from Chris. He was great to deal with, prompt and delivered a high quality product. He stands behind what he makes.
I've never seen a Vector conversion in real life, but the picture looks identical. And I'm sure they're great to deal with, prompt and high quality as well. Their customer support is legendary.
If it were me, #1 factor is who has them in stock. If both, I'd probably buy from Chris only because I've got experience with what he makes -- but basically, its a flip of a coin.

Main reason is that I just like to support the little guy.

I have one from Chris. I'm happy with it. IIRC Vector didn't have any when I was looking.

I actually did email him earlier in the week but, I guess he has been out of pocket so to say.

I bought one about a month ago from Chris. He was nice to deal with. There were some delays in communication and shipment, but he did pull through. I got the impression that he was under a lot of pressure with his real job. He was also getting low on inventory if I recall. He will get back to you. He never ignored any of my emails. It is a side job for him, so if you are in a big hurry you might want to buy from Vector if you don't hear from Chris soon. I hate to write that because I think he did a good job, but I want you to be aware of the facts.

I also bought one from Chris... Vector wasn't making them at the time.... When I bought mine, Chris and Roger Locke were making the modified grips but I chose Chris's because with his lower you could use un-modified Greasegun Magazines... Roger had a funky magazine catch that I didn't like and I prefer the KISS methods.
My lower from Chris runs flawless.... Ocassionally I have to tweak the lips on the grease gun magazines due to manufacturer differences of the magazines but thats it..... A Uzi in .45 is the ultimate rush in mag dumps compared to the factory 16rd mags.... the 30 round wins hands down with the grin factor.
I have compared and have Shot Vectors Lower and as previously mentioned... basically the same with minor cosmetic differences...also ran flawlessly. Either lower would make a fine addition to your Uzi.

I have Roger's lower before Chris started making them. It does use unmodified Greasegun makes.
I think maybe you are confusing Roger's w/ the one made by Greg Jesionowinski. His uses modified GG mags.
Mine has run 100%.
I do agree I like Chris' and Vectors' mag catch better though but as I mentioned neither of those were around when I got mine. I'm just going to get an extension welded to mine.
I also recommend Craig Wheatley's 50 round mags as they have run 100% for me too.

Do I want or need one of these kits if I have a mac 10????? I've allready have about 15 to 20 gg mags so wouldn't have to buy mags. TIA

Don't quite follow you.... The GG conversions are for using Grease gun mags in an Uzi instead of the really rare and expensive 45 caliber Uzi mags that only hold 10 or 16 rounds...

I'm saying do I want to bother with the conversion at all if I have a mac 10. If I didn't have a mac I could see the need but if I feel the need to throw some 230 grainers down range I could just pick up the mac. So how much is the barrel, lower and bolt, that's all I would need as I have unmodified gg mags that I use in my mac.
Perhaps my $ would be better spent on the 22 kit, never mind, answered my own ?. Move along, nothing to see here, sorry....

IMHO, I would say yes, if you like shooting FA .45, then the UZI .45 kit w/ a GG lower is a great addition. I have fired the MAC's in .45 and I like the UZI in .45 better. Better stock, ergonomics and easier to control.

Haven't shot my 45 kit yet.... So I can't say.... One draw back to the 45 is the bolts are getting really hard to find... Vector used to sell them but they have dried up....
I think Vector was selling the 45 kit for about $185...
BTW the 22 kits may be a little troblesome to get running... I had to do quite a lot of tweaking to get it to run right... But it is a nice runner when it all comes together....
