when did they go from round to crooked or "bent shape"
somebody said 1993-94, also just snapped up a new in case uzi pistol with the crooked triggerguard for $1,100.00 was i wacked to pay that?? since the last time i had one was around 1993.. so i guess they have increased along with everything else...
i prefer the "crooked style" however rounded on mini is fine..take care, ron

they started importing the uzi pistol in 1985 at least, the second round of imports came in the early 1990's, which, had the angled trigger guard. I think that the second imports were Springfield Armory, and the first round of imports were action arms.
I found this info in our Uzitalk.com libary. I would like the angled trigger guard, they desinged them to better help control during full auto action, plus, I think that they look meaner than the round. But hey, I dont even own one, so I would take either one.

I don't know exactly when they changed the trigger guard but it was earlier than that. I'd say around 1989. For the most part, Action Arms quit selling the UZI Pistol in 1991 and they had switched the trigger guard before that.
$1000-$1100 is a typical price range for the UZI Pistol these days.

thank's guy's i had no idea springfield imported the pistol's.the last time i saw pop reese he was importing some post sample's only for around $275.00 to $400.00.full size model's not pistol's.
it show's there is always more info on the uzi, then you think you know.
and i figured i paid the current going rate, and it was no "steal of the week"however today in the gun bizz what is??
and for something that is no longer made or imported...you pay market!take care, ron

Hey, who cares how much you paid for it, Mossad, the fact is, you now own one, and the value of that pistol will never go down, only up! (unless we dont start producing them stateside, and the 1989+1993 import bans go away)
I am sure you could get a gunsmith to angle your triggerguard if you wanted to pay for it

I have seen a few Micros out there.... Mostly bolt guns... But they seem really pricey.... People think they are more than gold....

brian more like platinium priced now...it's always the way.when you can't get it price's rise...
however since getting the pistol....the other would be nice.folding stock and all.
i have to do a demo. so have to get a micro either way!!
take care,ron
p.s. also most of the conversion's i have seen don't have the stock...and few do....in the early day's they could not get extra stock's...and most did not care.that was then.....now everybody want's it correct. or at least i do..

Below are some pics of mine.
Mine was beat to crap when I got it w/ no stock. It now sports a factory IMI MICRO stock.
Below is a pic of how it looked when I got it. It was a movie gun that I think was at one time in Stembridge's inventory. Maybe old Chuck used it?

Below is a pic of it w/ the rounded trigger guard it came with and my custom Docter optics setup.
This is after engraving MICRO UZI on the side, refinishing etc..

Below is a pic of it w/ my all original factory IMI FA lower w/ the angular shaped triggerguard which I agree I like a lot more than the rounded.

now thats one nice micro in the last pic......set up right, and yes it's possible chuckie did use it in invasion u.s.a. i knew stem's did not have many micro's to sell......and since they came in later with all the law change's,who know's what went on.it looks good with the correct lower and stock and a nice new finish.....
gun's look good with that "war dog" look, then after a while we get tired of that and want them newish again. wink!!
my 1970 "early" IMI import still is 98% cond.
and i plan on keeping it that way,the other a war dog!!
i am sure when you got it you thought, i can make this one look way better.thanks for the pic's.and time.take care, ron
