So, with a registered sear (married to the receiver I assume) would you need to get the sear "repaired" if it ever wore out? If so, who would do such work, and is it feasible?

I don't think it's married to the receiver. The form 4 is just for the sear and in the notes it reads "currently installed in Mini Uzi SN: XXXX". When I picked up the form 4 at the dealer I still had to do the yellow form for the rifle. Hmm.. does that mean if the sear is removed I have an unregistered SBR? That's a good quesiton about repair.. I would like to know also. Maybe Vector or Joe Black?

yep thats sounds right.remove the sear.and the cue stick barrel should go back on the mini..to keep it all correct....if the sear is not married to the rec.on the paperwork.....you have a reg.sear.and a semi mini uzi carbine...

if i'm not correct on this somebody clear that up...

hopefully you did not pay a king's ransom on that one...

since per s.a.r. review......they have the value's on these thing's in the gunwriter's opinion "not mine"

to me you have the best of both world's you can sell the sear bolt deal. and the gun later.GOD FORBID i said sell!!

spank me with that 20 rd micro mag.

good luck on the purchase, have fun.

You have exactly what I have. A Fleming registered sear gun MINI.
Even if omitted on the paperwork, these are PERMANENTLy married to the receiver. I have corresponded personally w/ Fleming on this. IMHO, this is the closest you can possibly get to factory MINI SMG.
Why? Because it is the only option I know of where the trunion is relieved to accept an umodified MINI SMG bolt and the receiver is not rewelded.
Note that the SEMI MINI UZI carbines came into the US in '87. Fleming had registered a bunch of regular UZI SMG sears pre86. Then he relieved the trunion on the MINI's and even took out the bolt blocking rail on the full size UZI's. In '88, ATF caught up with him and told him to stop this practice but they did grandfather the ones he did but under the condition they were all permanently married to the receiver.
The paperwork should mention that it is installed in serial number blahblah receiver in the additional notes field but sometimes that info is left out on later transfers.

WOW! left out on transfer's. i've been ffl/sot for 33 year's..

and i get them back if the number or letter or word is sppeeled wrong! that is a pretty important thing to leave out in that section H.

however crazy thing's have been done... however at least you have the uzi!! thats the most important thing.

take care,ron

and amphibian splained it all.....
