i must admit have not had one of these in 20 year's...it arrived new in blue case.one mag,{darn!!}was told some came in that way!with the later crooked triggerguard..
the last owner was a P.I. no not magnum!!
he took it out of box once.and then just ratholed it..not a mark, rub, scratch or anything on it.really the perfect uzi in fit and finish...no complaint's from me...except the one mag!!
{however i did buy five from this site.. 20 rd mag's}
i was expecting to take it out and run a few hundred rounds through it..but after seeing how nice it was....safe king for sure!!
heck i've got a mini to shoot anyhow...
i am sure all these pistol's will increase in value in future anyhow no matter if new in box.or a little used and abused..
i guess when you get older you like new!! and when younger you want old??maybe!!
however i am impressed with this little 4 pound uzi...i can't wait for the micro f/a/ to happen...doe's anybody else on the board have the uzi pistol..or is everybody the full size f/a/ route??
i always figured if you liked uzi's...you gotta have the pistol to..take care, ron

I have two UZI pistols. One is a standard Action Arms import and I shoot that one. The other is a Springfield Armory import. Very few of those imported and mine is unfired so I'm keeping it that way.

he bought it two year's ago for $3,700.00> uzi inflation!
talked with old friend's..latest scoop on something's..however no info on the 20,000 uzi sale...
thats the report....so i was kinda glad to see the price's holding...and not a vector model in sight...
however some asked what happened to all my ak's...i told them went over to the darkside and bought UZI !!
easy to shoot, easier to clean, great barrel change feature.and with a can..just a little bolt slap noise...and part's and mag's ain't too hard on the wallet...they all understood....and followed up with maybe i should get one also..

I have an Action Arms UZI pistol purchased new in the blue box for about 450 bucks in the 80's as best as I can recall. Shoot it frequently and love it.
There were several old gunmag articles and chapters in a few books written about this "pistol". A book "Combat Pistols" by Larry Gander gives the rather interesting history of this big handgun. Also check the UZITALK reference library to find out more.
You will love shooting it. Lifting it to eye level will build up your upper body.

i am sure i can find another copy someplace..."gunshow's"
i do have the feb 86 swat issue and firepower issue's. and s.o.f.9/81 issue's still.. some thing's you don't throw out for whatever reason...."clutter"

One piece I read said that a large percentage of these pistols were being used in drive-bys and assorted other crimes. The BATF got their panties all in a wad about that. They became the poster child for evil weapons and were frequently shown in the hands of Chuck Schumer et al demonstrating their godawful power. If I am not mistaken they even used one to rip apart a cinder block or a brick or milk can or something.
They were originally designed for West Bank settlers, who were all familiar with the UZI. However most were exported to the US.
I like mine because of the serious way it looks and it's incredible accuracy.
I took it to my shooting qualification to renew my concealed weapon license. It could be concealed with a big enough coat. The previous time I took my 44 cal Uberti cap and ball revolver but chickened out of using it at the last minute. They required a string of rapid fire. It takes time to reload. Sorry for digressing.
