and wonder how you like yours? This is a former PD gun(don't know which PD), supposedly very clean. Full stock, one mag.

Was going to sell off an Uzi to finance it, but my darling wife said
"Don't you dare". Now I'm not one to disagree with my wife on many things, so I didn't on this either.

I don't know what I ever did to deserve her...but I'm glad I did it whatever it was.

I'll be going to take a peek at it this week when I deliver a check for it.

Any current owners have any words of wisdom on the 556? Do's or Don'ts?
Now the quest for a couple of good mags. 20's or 30's

never had ac556 but have had several semi mini 14's. Cheap mags are nothing but a headache. Go with real factory ruger mags. they are about $90-120 each. I've heard PMI are as good as factory but I had alot of problems with them. Also a good beding job on the stock can cut groups in half or better. Goto perfectunion.com for info on mini's. they have a wealth oh knowledge.

Here is mine. It was a PD gun too. Dito the perfect union thing. I'm still working out some issues with mine, so I will wait till I figure it out before commenting on a fix. It could be ammo sensitive. Winchester white box seems to work well for most folks. Mine is choking on South African surplus. All my mags are Ruger, but my brothers PMI's work well too. Don't get crazy customizing or Ruger might not honor the warrantee. Not sure where that line is, but they might be able to tell you. I called and talked to one of the armorers and he was very nice and helpful. Enjoy.

YEAH! ...the really kool thing is that RUGER will actually do excellent work on these guns & in a timely fashion.... sometimes, at NO charge; but the rifle has to be ALL original, OEM. Nice weapon. Kinda having a craving for a select fire shorty stainless folder right now! Mags are a real be-otch though!

wasnt a 556 but the SS Mini.... I couldnt get ANY mag other than OEM mags to work.... So I was buying any 20 and 30s that I could get my hands on.... But that was before they SHOT up.

I had Cheif AJ/Deans do a trggr tune and Cheifs comp put on.... BULLSEYE @ 100yd EVERY DAMN SHOT!!!! With NO and I mean NO muzzle lift!!!

Even bought a FACTORY folder (I could...it was PREBAN) but I didnt like it that much....

Mini 14s and AC556 are nice VERY nice rifles.... WISH I hadnt had let mine go....

Watch out for SWITCHED mags that CLAIM to be FACTORY!!! Chk the follower, spring, floorplate and body VERY WELL!!!!
