I am looking to pick up a S&W 76 and I would like to know what folks are paying these days. I found an excellent condition one for $6500 w/ 3 factory mags. Is that a good price?

That is about the current market price for a C&R SW 76 in excellent or better condition.

I agree with J2T's comment. You'll love the gun.

I closed the deal on the S&W 76 with out having to sell any of my transferables. I will how ever sell my Pre-86 UZI to fund another project.

I will have to start some discussion on the "76" board. It has been dead over there. I wish they were as motivated as the UZI guys.

Hello azdskin:

"I will have to start some discussion on the "76" board. It has been dead over there. I wish they were as motivated as the UZI guys."

Yes, the "76 Forum" has been a little "slow".... and I have been no help... I have been "away" for a while.

And yes, UZI owners seem to be in "their own little world"...
:) But, it is a nice world ! ! !

There are so many more UZIs out there than 76/760s. Approx. 6,000 76s vs MILLIONS of UZIs. Not sure, but I would guess less than 6,000 760s.....

Bottom line........ We 76, 760, K, Stemple, etc. owners THANK the UZI owners for this board, and this "76 Forum".

azdskin, let's start talking 76/760 stuff...............

"Not sure, but I would guess less than 6,000 760s..... "

There used to be an MK760 page that was linked to subguns. His name was Gary and he was having people contact him with serial #'s from the 3 makes of 760(Fruithurst,Southern Tool?, and Irvine,Ca). From his list, there was less than 600 FA MK760's that he was able to gain serial #'s for. He also had a list for the semi's, but he didn't have many replies. I got a copy somewhere???
This would only be accurate if every owner emailed Gary, but I doubt it.
