Removing the barrell shroud on stemple

Hey Guys,
Although I have a new Stemple MK III on the way, I've never seen one up close. I was wondering if it's possible and o.k. to remove the barrel shroud so that the gun would more resemble a "Grease Gun"? If not, it's no big deal but I think it would look a little cooler without it.

Won't work! The barrel shroud holds the barrel on.

If you know a machinist it wouldn't be that hard to get a barrel nut made for it.

I knew what the thread size was at one time. Any machinist should be able to figure it out.
