IMI is selling Blue Tip thru American Ammo Blue Tip (http://www.a-merc.com/parBners.htm). I don't think AA is loading it since their catalog doesn't show subsonic AA ammo list (http://www.a-merc.com/cgi-local/webcat/products_page.cgi). I bought a coupla boxes from Sportsman's Guide SPG (http://www.sportsmansguide.com/cb/cb.asp?p=WX2&i=85610) but it's been on backorder for a few weeks.

...anymore because they ceased production!
I purchased a few cases of it directly from the manufacturer & I can assure you that the only component they load is the IMI 158gr bullet in their own brass.
Contrary to popular belief... the 9mm subsonic was quite excellent & reliable ammo. I can't vouch for their other offerings!
It was fairly consistent & low flash with no unusual signs of out of spec cases or primers.
Sad but true!

How do you know they ceased production? SPG asked me if I want to accept a backorder until 9/15 (which I did). OTOH, they also strung me along for a year in 2003 that they were getting in cases of the South African .223 everyone liked!!!!

A-MERC can set you up with their "dealer program" for wholesale. I was told by the factory that the A9107 was discontinued.
If any more is to be had, it is probably coming from a distributor that purchased their remaining stock.
LOT# 118041 doesn't appear to have any "issues".

Are we talking about American Ammunition here in south Florida? This is where I bought mine several months ago.

Andy... did you find the A-MERC 9mm blue-tip to be as reliable as the Israeli ammo?
Perhaps, things have changed recently; I haven't checked back in a couple of months.

I have not even tried it yet. It went into my supply and has not been used, but now that you mentioned it I will try it out.

You might reconsider shooting that ammo, Andy!
I came across this today:
A-MERC IS CRAP !!!!!!!

I just got reimbursed by A-MERC for 3 supressors that their "bluetip" 9mm blew up. One of the customers WATCHED bullets going downrange on an UZI mag dump before they squibbed up and blew his can apart.
STAY AWAY from A-MERC ammo. Quality Control went out the window for some reason.
I'm refunding/replacing any that was bought from me. If you got any from me at the Camden shoots, contact me and I'll make it right. Thanks,
Ryan

We've sold tens of thousands of rounds in our retail store and have had VERY few problems. The brass is sometimes sloppy, leading to primers blowing out of pockets after firing, but we have not had ANY appreciable incidents with the ammo whatsoever. It is what it is, inexpensive range ammo. It is not target grade stuff, nor should it be at that price. People who have a distaste for A-merc never say why, they just don't like it. They probably heard from a friends friends friend that its no good. Those same people will probably flame me later, but I would like to hear about a specific incident they have had. I did see the post a couple of weeks ago about a 9mm squib, but I've had one with rem. UMC. Any ammo that's made on the cheap will have some problems, but if you are looking for inexpensive range ammo for practice, we havent had any more problems from it than any other range ammo. They are affiliated with IMI in Israel, and use IMI's components to load the .308 match and the 9mm bluetip subsonic. They also import some of IMI's ammo already loaded like the M33 .50 BMG and the M855 5.56 greentip.

I have 500rds left of the "vintage" A-MERC blue-tip & although I might have lucked out with this batch, I am now apprehensive as to further use in *my precious* transferables.
