Just like it says... I'm looking for the value of a .45ACP conversion kit for a SMG. The conversion package includes the bolt, barrel, and three 16 round IMI mags. I'm looking for the current, realistic value. I'm also wondering if you use your stock 9mm recoil spring with this caliber conversion. Thanks guys!

To give you an idea, I just bought a .45 FA bolt from a guy off of sturmgeweher a few weeks ago for $185. Vector has .45 barrels for $65. I don't know what the mags go for, but maybe $300+ all together?

I don't have my Uzi yet, but I've been told to use the 9mm spring with the 45 kit.

A couple of years ago I bought a .45 bolt from some guy at Knob Creek for $180. An hour later I bought one from another guy for $50.00. I use the $50.00 one all the time. There's another member here at UT who got another one of the $50 ones, perhaps they will comment on it.

Anyway, the $50 was definitely a windfall, lucky low price. the $180 I think was way too high.

I bought a .45 barrel from Vector for $65 that same day. So the kit cost either $250 or $115, depending on how you look at it.

I use my 9mm spring for it.

I don't know about the 16 round .45 mags as I use my GG kit exclusively.

I paid $65 for a 16-round magazine at a local gun show, two years ago.

They are selling NIB 16 round IMI mags at local gunshow for about $50 each, here in Fla.

Thanks for answering my questions! The kit is NOT for sale. I'm just trying to place a realistic value on a complete UZI package. I was planning to buy it but passed the deal on to my daughter's long time boyfriend. It's his first NFA purchase and he's getting a low mileage Vector gun with a VERY nice package of accessories for a great price.

I figured the 16 round mags were $50-$60 and that seems about right from what you're telling me. I know that deals can be had on just about everything, but would $250.00 be too much value to be placed on the barrel and bolt combo?

Didn't know if the .45 had a special recoil spring or not. I'm sure all this has been discussed before but I didn't have an interest in the .45ACP conversion.

in the past few months sturmgewehr had listed 3. One at $260. without the recoil assem. Two $450 with 2 16rd and 1 10rd mag. Three $750 lnib. I think the first 2 sold, but I'm not sure about #3. I'd say depending on condition that $250 might be a little low. The F/A bolt seems to be the rare part. I was tempted on the $185. bolt that was posted. Hth, John.

I just bought a 45 cal. SMG Bolt off of Sturm as one guy said he had, you can use the same spring but it will wear faster by using for both calibers so get one from Vector Arms for $25.00 and use a small buffer in 45, it kind of hammered the plastic on the back of the spring assembly on mine. The Bolt off of Sturm I paid $ 185.00 shipped. I have been waiting for Vector to get there 45 smg kits for 2 yrs, they can't get the bolts. The 45 IMI 16rd clips run from $45.00 to 75.00 new depending on whats out there at the time. I just bought all of my stuff from different places and made a kit. I got to say t6hat i like it humming in 45 atuo:heavy

Vector was selling the bolt and barrel kit (when they had them) For $180 it also came with 1 10 round mag... The cheap one.... But since they don't have any more....

Your right the mags were $50-60
