Does anyone know if this is really true?


Talk on subguns about it yesterday.
If it isnt true that is good.
If it is true..... Well boys hold on to your shit cause its about to skyrocket in price.

The posts on Subguns move pretty fast at times... There was a guy that kept posting daily inquires on where he could buy an AK5 upper. Like there are tons of them every where, right? Anyway, everyone was playing him pretty hard and he acted like the kid he probably was and got himself a thirty day site suspension and then permanently banned from the site. Still a running joke over there so treat everything you read about AK5 uppers, parts kits and the like with a huge amount of skepticism.

Seems as though everyone wants a Kermit like yours. 'Gotta take some good photos next time we're out.

Mike - it was a joke. I also have an AK-5. My interest came from having lived in Sweden for some time, and being around them fairly often.

SAR did a review of AK-5's a while back. Between that and the "oh I got have one of those" attitudes....it has caused a higher demand.

Personally I find AK-5's chunky. I like the look, but hate the feel. The main advantage of the AK5 handguards is a nice flat surface for resting on the bottom of the guard.

The BEST handguards for a FNC are the Indonesian Pindad models. They feel great!

PS...the Executive order signed by George H Bush banned FNC's, and copies....such as the AK5 from importation.

I've got over a dozen demilled AK5 parts kits. These were NIB prior to being tourch cut per BATF regs. Every single part less the receiver. I'll also include 10 NIW factory mags for all UZI Talk members. Special price of $250.00 for each parts kit due to the huge glut on the market.

Naw... we all make mistakes. I mean who among us doesn't want to believe in the Shrike? Speaking of the Shrike, it's rumored ARIES is selling bunches to the public at KCR and their table is right next to the guy with thousands of AK5 parts kits... cheap too.

Never ever have I seen a AK5. Nope. I have seen a VERY rare semi FAMAS but never seen a AK5. Shrike..lol......A friend at the creek told me that the guns are starting to look well ummm old. Like us.;) But the friendships are strong as ever. Also heard that parts are getting rare for some stuff, and people are paying 4K for MACs...End of a era boys. The good days are once again behind us I think.
