Went there today and they had a new shipment of the Winchester 9MM and they were still selling it at the sales price of $3.88 a box. I picked up an addl. 1000 rounds. This was at the Lawrenceville, GA store.

I've go to give it to them as well. Currently I've gotten 4,500 rounds and they still contiune to honor the Rain Checks issued during the sale.

I have to say they have gone above and beyond I just got another 2000 rds at 3.88 a box today. I called and complained to the manager when they were not issueing rainchecks here in Atl. and he said he would call me and he called me on tuesday with another 2000 rds. for me. I must also add the Remmington does not run as well as the Winchester in the Uzi. but it is all cheap :D :uzi

What problem's have you had with the Remmington? I think I'm sitting on close to 2000 rounds of the UMC?

Dito the UMC problem. I bought 4000 rounds. First trip to the range and it will not cycle my M16 (Uzi still in transfer hell). I get a hammer down on a loaded round which tells me cycles enough to eject and pick another round, but not reset the hammer. When it does run it sounds like it runs about 400 RPM. I contacted Remington about it and they said it should be as hot as Winchester. They told me to send it bach and they would test it and refund or exchange it if there is a problem. They told me to just send one box. I'll let you guys know how it works out.

The remmingtom barely cycles the action and sometimes does not fully cycle and I have had several failures to feed and light firing pin strikes as a result. Also it smokes more and occasionaly throws sparks .:D

is loaded on the light side as I had previously mentioned; this is not an isolated case!

That's not good. I wonder if Bass Pro will trade out the Remington ammo for the Winchester if it's still in sealed boxes.

The UMC stuff feeds alright in my Colt & Bushmaster AR's. If you don't like the stuff you're welcome to send it to me. I'll shoot it up for you. :D

Also should mention I'm still waiting on Bass Pro to call regarding the rain check for my 9mm Winchester.

due to liability concerns regarding the possibility of ammo switching or tampering. Walmart had a policy where you could return the ammo within 24hrs; I don't know if they still do this, however!

Most won't. I don't know about Wal-Mart. They have some good prices on Winchester white-box bulk pack 9mm but I refuse to shop there anymore because I've had so many bad experiences. A bit too anti-gun (no guns period in CA now, no handguns anywhere else) & pro-China for my tastes as well.

Never tried the UMC ammo in my Uzi but I let a friend shoot my M16 with the 9 mm kit installed. He loaded it up with the UMC he had and it ran sloooow when it cycled at all. YMMV

I'll be happy to send it to you for only $4.88 per box plus shipping. I have 3,950 rounds left. I have a feeling that It will work out in my favor if I jump through a few whoops with Federal. We'll see in a few weeks how it shakes out.

Paul, Please keep us updated on your progress with the UMC. Have you contacted Bass Pro and if so what stance did they take reguarding the ammo??

I stocked up on it while it was $2.88 a box just recently at Bass Pro. Today I went & picked up my 1000rds of 9mm white box Winchester that finally came in too. The UMC ammo is made by Remington rather than Federal btw.
