Saiga .308 NATO Rifle

My previous question regarding interchangeability between magazines from both Galil and Kalishnikov, needs more detail.

I have a Saiga (Izmash Arsenal) .308 NATO rifle. Standard magazines delivered with this weapon only hold 8 rounds.

Will any of the pre-ban, metal magazines for the Galil fit this rifle?

This weapon is far too effective to limit it to only 8 rounds.

In fact, why don't I simply ask if anyone knows of a standard, pre-ban 20-30 round magazine that will function in the .308 Saiga?

It is odd that they reference the "ROBINSON ARMAMENT" page. If you actually go to Robinson Armament and look at the price list, an M-14 conversion is mentioned, and it says "Krebs". Weird...so maybe there is some sort of agreement between the two companies to send certain conversions to each other. Nonetheless, that may help you with your search for higher capacity .308 mags.

Hey "very good" (sehrgut), how do you like that thing? Every time I see the ads for their shotguns, I think about getting one.

A long long time ago, this was under the "Galil" section. We no longer have a Galil section....What happened? Not enough interest?

Another thing I noticed...the Saiga's only have single stack mags right? That ad is for a VEPR, which may be a double stack (closer to an original AK). Then again the original AK's were not .308, so it may not be different, but that may throw things off a bit.

There were very few posts considering how long the forum was here, so I merged them into this forum. All of the posts are still on the board.
