Lotta fun! Get a hold of a smooth magwell if'n it isnt coming in with one and get yourself three or four KC 30 rounders..... These are great subguns and you will find they end up getting much more attention at the range than many of the black subs out there...(not that there is anything wrong with those!)
I'm surprised you dont have one yet!

I'm waiting on my dealer's form 3 to get approved so I can get started on the form 4. PM me if you get a chance to head down to the Charleston area.

Get a set of Wolff springs -- you don't know how weak the old ones may be. The Wolffs are stiff and may speed up the ROF somewhat, but they will keep your 60-year-old toy from beating itself to death.
One operating tip:
Whenever you want to move the selector from one position (safe/semi/auto) to another position, first reach up and pull back the op lever to partially open the bolt. Failing to do so can break your Reising (I forget which part binds on which, but the part that usually breaks is one of those you-can't-buy-one-for-love-or-money pieces).
BTW, if you try to move the selector without partially opening the bolt, you'll feel stiff resistance; once the bolt is opened, the selector slides easily from one indent to the next.
Other than that, have fun! I still love mine!

Thanks for the info guys. It was a trade deal. I found out, it has a cool past. Well all Reisings have a lot of history. My father can't wait. He always wanted a M50. My dad wants a Fed-Labs case, like Tony K! It well go well with his Ingram M6!

Where can I get the wolff springs from and how much do they cost? I also recommend getting Frank Iannamico's book, The Reising Submachine Gun Story" Good info for about $20 from http://www.machinegunbooks.com/index2.html.

I have read Franks Iannamico's book cover to cover. My dad got it at Knob Creek, about 3 years ago. Great book, thanks for the info.

You can get the Wolff springs directly from their web site at http://gunsprings.com/1ndex.html -- it's listed in the "Rifles & Shotguns" category:
"REISING 50/55/60, .45 ACP

Plus $4-$5 for shipping, of course.

What spare parts besides the Wolff springs and firing pins should I get for the M50.

Some people say to get a two piece bumper plug, but I have never broken my origional one piece plugs. Other than that, I just try to pick up a few parts when I find them cheap. Good luck, they're great guns.
