Does anyone know the serial number cutoff for a pre-ban Galil.
It`s an Action Arms .308 Model 329S
Thanks
Airborne Guy,
Unfortunately, it's Pre/Post status is NOT determined by serial number.
Your rifle is a 329-S. The "S" stands for "Sporter", meaning post ban. But, there is another wrinkle.
Does the "S" appear to be "hand stamped", or does it appear to be "original" from the factory? If it is handstamped, it's still possible for the rifle to be "pre-ban" if the "pre-ban" parts were added prior to 30 Nov. 1990. I believe all "S" guns that originated from the factory are POST ban.
Confusing, isn't it?
I'm sure my response will ignite a bunch or responses, but I'm just trying to share info. - NOT start any fights.
Be safe. Be happy.

Thanks for the responses, the "S" is hand stamped.
Uzi Gali WAS an AWESOME guy! Even tho WE(the USA) helped them a bunch! Hats really goes off to Mr.KlanisniCOUGH! He was the dude that started the REVOLUTION! Where the GALIL RifleSystem is concerned!
The UZI is deffenately a MAINSTAY to its inventor!
I like the way that the M16 bayonet fits over the the M16 "Birdcage"flashider and into the M16type bayo lockup.... And also like the way that the M14 mags can be used as GALIL mags.... With the PROPER legal mods.... Thats the part of I'm referring too when I say "THANKS to the USA! for helping"
Sorta reminds me of that old adage:
"It takes a village to raise a child" hehehelol

Hello Yog:
Could you please tell us from what source the 30 Nov 1990
date comes from? Was in in the law that was passed which
made Bush's 1989 Ban permanent?
Thanks for the information
