View Full Version : 50 rd Reising drums
barrelxchange

I will have 10 drums available by the end of the month (or sooner) and will be starting another 20 right away.
Here's what these are: 50 round 45 drums that have the ability to change the feed towers to 4 different configurations, UZI, Grease Gun, Reising and M1A1 Thompson, (will do Ingram 6 in the future)
Price for the drums is $300.00 + 10.00 shipping and require you to trade in a mag for your tower choice. Example: If you want an UZI tower send me a 10 rd 45 mag, Grease gun tower send me a GG mag (blued preferred) Reising, send a 20rd mag (there are after market mags that are not as expensive as originals), ect, ect.
If you want additional towers they are $100.00 each and still require the trade in, (spare towers come with a new set of dummy rounds to fit the tower)
I do have mags available for towers in case you don't have one to trade but you will have to pay going rate for the mag + the drum or tower charge.
Terms are 50% deposit min and mag trade. but if you prepay I'll ship for free.
Guaranteed to run, or money back
I accept checks, M.O. CC. or paypal (add 3%)
Email me directly at: barrelxchange@aol.com to order.
Pics coming soon
Thanks

I have been looking forward, in Troy's drum mags! If you never got anything from him before, he is one of the best! Troy's stuff is great. Great timing Troy. My dad has a M50 on its way, from a trade deal! The Mini Uzi is slow as hell with your 45 kit!!!
Way cool! Troy I assume this means that the GG drum you have for me will swap between the GG and Reising if I want it too? My Dad has a M50, and he might want to try it out before getting his own. See you at KCR!

I'm trying to have your drum done to deliver it to you at KC. I don't have a table, but we can work out a place to meet.
And yes, you can swap the tower to a Reising and go to town.
Troy
That's great, but I'm not going to bag on you or anything if you don't. Well, I might a little if I get to do it in person. :D

.
Any reports (good or bad) on these drums............???
.
Last I heard from Troy was on 12/20, he was waiting on a bit of work from his welder, and doing some tweaking on the Reising/GG towers to make them interchangable.

Sounds like a really neat idea. How heavy would this be? :gym Can anyone post a pic of this drum?
I might be wrong, but I don't think anyone has received one yet. Troy might be along to post a pic of them?

Any feedback on reliability on these???? Do you offer a warranty for functionality and workmanship?
thx

What drums are you using?
I believe he is converting Suomi drums.
I'm in line for the 2nd batch.
This drum might make Reisings a little more desirable, not that it matters to me.
As soon as I held one I knew I had to have one.

Troy,
Any way you could put up a list of who's part of this next batch? Weaponeer.com does this alot by posting folks initials and city with state. This would protect everyone's identities.

Haven't heard any feed back on the Reising drums yet, but I figure no news is good news, If there's a problem, I'm sure I'd hear it. Sorry I've been away, Just got my computer running again.
I've got a great pic of the drum, that I'll post as soon as possible. The drums are based on the Soumi drums and heavily modified, they hold 50 rounds and are $350.00 plus a donor mag trade.
I have 4 people on the list so far. email me at: barrelxchange@aol.com with contact info to get in on the next run.
Thanks

Sorry don't have 1 myself, but the design is sound. I will try to get a customer to take a movie

I'll do one myself when I get the drum.

Update, I have 50 drums in the works, they are very time consuming and I'm a 1 man shop doing this part time. 25 of them will be 45acp drums and 25 in 9mm. When I get close to finishing them I will post availability. Several people have place orders already but it will still be a few months before I can get them finished.

If you have one for the mac and stemple one will work for both as long as you have them both use unaltered GG mags.
It is a little extra work but worth it.

I'm working on them inbetween other jobs as much as I can. With Vector down, there has been a flurry of barrel orders plus the 22 conversions. I'm a 1 man shop with a day job and work on this stuff as much as the wife will let me.
I have the mag adapter plates finished, the drum bodies are pretty much done, the dummy pusher rounds are strung, Just need about 40 hours to work the internals. When they come together there will be 30+ of them

I've made a adapter mag, but with the cost of new Thompson drum mags it would serve you better to buy 1 of those and adapt it

Based on Troy's excellent work in the past, he may set a "precedent" with a magazine more reliable than the gun it's used with!
I bet there will be a run on Reising parts once enough of these get into circulation!
