I have a Model 45 IMI Uzi. It came with 3 16rd .45 mags. I also have the 9mm set up and quite a few mags for it. My question is where does one find .45 mags. I am guessing either there are none to be had or it is a secret since the few that I have seen have been in the $100 range. There is one on GB right now with a Buy it now of $175 :buttkick.

The consenus seems to be to go with a Grease Gun lower.

Here's a few threads I found using the "Search" function.

I think he has a semi -- all the GG lowers I see are for FA. I doubt that they are compatible.

Both Vector and Chris Humphreys make a semi GG lower, Definitly the way to go at least until I get around to making the lower that takes Glock mags

Mine is infact semi auto, I didn't realize that FA guns had the same modle numbers. I thought about the GG lower, but they seem to run about $300. That is the price of 3 Uzi mags so it is a good trade off. I just dont shot the .45 that much do to price compaired to 9mm. I already have a bunch of GG mags for my HK USC conversion. The Glock mag set up would be cool, but they don't make big mags for the .45 glock. I am looking at doing a suppressed 9mm AR-15 using the Olympic Arms AR lower that uses Glock mags since they do make 33 rd 9mm mags and 29 rd .40 S&W mags.

Here is the way it looked when I got it. I now have many more 9mm mags, and a .41 AE BBL which is about useless.

Yeah I am guessing that you are talking about 9mm mags. If you are talking about .45 list some for sale and you will be a rich rich man if you are only into the for $20/ea. I have pleanty of 9mm mags, but always keep an eye out for good deals, you can never have too many mags. I have about 100 mags for my AR's, 20's, 30's, and 100's. :)

I'm glad that this forum is so informative,I had considered getting a .45 conversion kit,but it sounds like a bad idea at this time due to the lack of mags,at 12 or so rounds a mag one could go through them rather quickly.
And yes,my mags are 9mm.:uzi
P/s,all my 25 rd. mads have an overlapping seam on the back that looks to be spot welded.
