View Full Version : Ratcheting Top Cover Tooh Popped Out

All,

I was putting in the low profile charging last night and the rachet tooth popped out, does anyone have a picture as to how it goes back in?

I reinstalled it, but the rachet seems not as smooth as before.

don't have a pic but you may have installed the ratchet tooth it up side down or backward. I did the same thing.

Helps in function and stops the ratchet from popping out.

Got it fixed. It was in completely wrong. Had it been an electronic device I would have figured it out in 5 seconds. Since it was mechanical, it took me about 5 days! That's why I picked an FA uzi, for it's simplicity, can you imagine what could have happended with a complicated device! :pound Thanks for the tips.

P.S. The ratcheting tooth does not allow the bolt to slam forward in case of a partial pull back and release of the charging handle.
