i just brought a 9 mm uzi rifle and i wanna change the barrel to a shorter length is this legal ? how can i do this? and where can i buy the barrel from

Need 1 of these first.... after you get this paperwork approved, then you can swap in the new shorter than 16" barrel.

Yup...200-bucks and patience grasshopper....Any other way and you'll be spending your special moments in the beautiful Club Fed....Tread lightly with messing around with your Uzi until you're legit....

I could be totally wrong about this but it seems that our law enforcement agencies should be more interested in guys that are killing school kids than someone who might have a barrel that is four inches too short locked in his safe. I know that right now there is someone who's career depends on finding somebody who might be breaking that solemn "law" of having an "illegal" SBR (or possibly thinking about it). Personally, for the agents who are monitoring this group, I have never entertained any notions of having or making an SBR since I still subscribe to the theory that 'longer is better'. What is the big deal with a short barrelled rifle? Is it considered more concealable or just too damn loud to shoot comfortably. It doesn't make much sense..but I could be totally wrong about this...
