All -

I have been busy the last few days and have not had time to post that I was able to pick my UZI up last Thursday.

I also was able to take it to the range on Saturday and am happy to report that after 550 round I had not a single failure!

The UZI is a Vector SMG that was "used" with about 300 rounds through it. It is 99% and came with (in addition to the original configuration):

Vector Polymer Stock
Vector Vertical Front Grip
4 - 25 Round Magazines
3 - IMI Star Marked 32 Round Magazines
Sight Tool
SMG Soft Case
2 - "L" Magazine Clips
2 - Magazine Cases

I put the stock front grip and folding stock on it for the initial run through at the range. I was happy with the function of it as "out of the box" and will try later with the various options I have with the stocks.

Just wanted to share some of my recent excitement about the new baby.

Now you have to do better than me and put more than 2000 rounds through it in the first week.

texasvwnut-

300 rounds through it when you bought it ? Sheesh ? I guess that IS long enough for someone to decide they have had enough fun. Perhaps they got tired of loading the magazines.

To shoot em you gotta feed em.....

Yeah I know what you mean.

The story goes as follows:

My dealer had a regular customer who was into H&Ks and was purchasing an MP5 from him. The regular customer had a buddy who saw some of his toys and decided he wanted a SMG as well. The buddy did not want to pay MP5 prices so decided to get a Vector UZI which the dealer then transfered to him.

- One and a Half Years Later -

The buddy shot his UZI a few times and evidently became bored with it. He told the dealer that did not know why he purchased the Vector in the first place and if anyone was intrested in an UZI he was in the market to sell.

This is where I stepped. It was an easy Form 4 transfer that the dealer handled since the buddy was his original customer.

I guess you are in the right place at the right time every once and a while.
