At the gun show last week-end, some guy said you could buy a registered bolt for about $500.00. Someone posted earlier that a bolt goes for between 2000.00 - 2500.00. What kind of bolt should I look for if I decided to assemble a UZI from parts, where would I find one, and how much do they cost? I now plan to look for an IMI Uzi for the quality of the rifle but don't know if I will buy one ready to run or build one.

No one is selling legal, transferable, registered bolts for $500. $2,000-$2,500 is a more accurate price range. sturmgewehr.com is one of the more active "for sale" boards so you should check that out. Registered bolts are typically original SMG bolts that have a slot cut in the side so they'll work in a semi receiver that has a blocking bar in it.

For example, Ken Lomont (http://www.klomont.com/) has some bolt guns in his transferable inventory.
