Thought I'd share some pics of my 1st UZI. Got a .45ACP kit to go with it. Let me know what you think.http://www.villagephotos.com/pubbrowse.asp?selected=409532

At least you've taken pictures. That's a good start. Now it's time to get it dirty.

and don't forget that the range bag will be much lighter after the session as they tend to be hungry for ammo.

Is that a slotted bolt(registered bolt)? If it is how did you get a .45 kit with it? I am not too up on the bolt gun stuff, so forgive me if this is a dumb ?.

No, it's not a FA bolt. FA bolts will not work in semiautos.

regalgseguy, just so you understand, what Dustin is referring to is a gun that is converted to FA by the use of a conversion bolt. Those bolts cost $2,000.00 + and of course need to be registered to be legal. Karl.

What in addition to the bolt is necessary to make the complete for FA use ?

There are a few different parts, but not all of them absolutely have to be swapped out. Bolt, recoil spring assembly, top cover, lower (stripped), sear, change lever (selector), and barrel. Karl.

And so some of these parts can be registered and moved from gun to gun so you can have a couple of guns and trade parts like the HK sear ?

Just the bolt. ATF allowed either a receiver (upper receiver only) or the bolt to be reg'd. in the case of the UZI. You can move a reg'd. bolt into any receiver you want. Of course you must remove any otherwise illegal parts out of any gun that you remove the bolt from. The only part that will put you in violation is a 10" barrel (this can be addressed by a SBR registration) or a lower with no block. Karl.
