I hope this board makes it, it would be nice to have just an Uzi page. Ordered my Vector just before all this stuff happened. I was going to wait for a group purchase saw one come up and nabbed it, Thank GOD!! Now I'm thinking about selling some of my other guns to pick up a mini before its to late too. I think I'm hooked.

So do I!   :D
To give you an idea of my commitment, I set everything up (paid expenses) for a year in advance. IMHO, we have an opportunity to fill a void with this board, and there's every reason for it to succeed.
Spread the word!

I won't be much help since I'm just getting my first full size semi Uzi, I did own an Uzi pistol years ago, sold it when everyone was running around in a panic for double what I paid, not one of my better moves. I'll definitely have more questions than answers so bear with me, glad to be aboard.   :D

:) cookie- what kind of expenses are involved in getting a board up and going like this ? Do you feel it would help to pass the offering plate so all the expenses don't land on the shoulders of one or a few ? I would be happy to share in the cost this forum requires just let me know as I plan to use this forum a great deal. UZI Talk has already been of great value to me. Thanks for filling the need!   :D

Jimbo-
In the near future, I may add a "donate" button, where members could send 5 bucks or whatever if they feel generous. This is not a commercial venture, but of course it'd be nice if it was self-supporting. I'm still giving thought to this issue, and I'll let everyone know what (if anything) I come up with.
Thanks.
P.S. Donations from moderators would not be accepted.

I noticed over on the 1911 forum than some of the members have a nice kind of shield or medallion next to their names that says "Forum Supporter. Do you know if that has to do with money they have donated up to a certain level ? $25, $50 ? I used to run fund raisers for political candidates in the past and those who donated always liked to be recognized, they even tended to give more when being recognized. FWIW.

I've created a group for this purpose - but so far no one has been kind enough to donate.
If and when anyone decides to support the board with a donation, they will be recognized. Here's the thread announcing the UZI Talk Supporter status:
