:)Thanks for the info on caliber changes. How about opinions on this: Rewats/rewelds can never be C&R's. The difference on the Form 4 is apparent on the entry for "Name and address of manufacturer and/or importer of firearm." Take a Johnson M1941 for example. The manufacturer should be Cranston Arms but if the form 4 says "Joe Smith" then it is a rewat/reweld non C&R.
The questions are these: The gun is an apparent reweld but on the ATF Form the original maker is the only one listed. Is that a mistake that can/should be fixed? Could this gun be sold as a C&R? (Providing of course Johnsons are C&R in the first place) Could the Feds be mad enough to want the gun? If this hypothetical were mine, I would be too afraid to ask!
