View Full Version : UZI Grenade Laurcher????

Excuss the spelling, but at the Gunshow today I had my Uzi on a Display Table and a guy came by to inquire about my bayonet. Then he went on to say he had found a grenade laurcher also for his? Am I feeling something warm on my leg or is this guy telling the truth? Could not find any mention in the library.

Yes there is but I have never seen one. Now that I think abuut it I never have but I know there is one.

Yes, IMI did make a grenade launching attachment for the UZI. It's NOT the blank firing barrel that is in the library. A lot of people call that a grenade launching barrel but it isn't.

I get the feeling the original poster was thinking more of a seperate large caliber launcher a la M203?

That was the impression I got. A separate launcher for grenades. Yes, the search is on!

I thought my UZI bayonet was an extreme purchase so I never considered buying one of these.

Yes I called them about a year ago on that- they said it was a barrel, I'm wondering if it is the barrel RoverDave is referring to. I believe they said it was threaded at the end.

If it was internally threaded on the end, then it's the blank firing barrel. You can see pictures of it in the library here (http://files.uzitalk.com/reference/pages/barrels.htm). A lot of people think it's a grenade launching barrel. I had someone translate a page from an IMI training manual to prove that it's for blanks.
