This might be old, but I have not seen it in it's entirety.

Although I have seen a snip from this video.

Makes me want to go shooting some steel.:patriot

When I see cool videos like this, it makes me want to bring my class III toys out to play, which is a rare occassion.

I'm planning another video, but it'll be a while - taping on July 4th. I hope to have it edited within a week of the holiday and will post when complete. The music has already been chosen and re-mixed. My plan is to have some extreme camera shots and I just finished making a protective case using plexiglass to protect the camera from flying objects. It should be a worthwhile download.

Mike,
not sure if you had seen a couple of my other videos. They are not in the same league as the Uzi video, but worth watching. I have a lot of fun making them.

This one shows my M16/22 (it's 29meg):

This one shows the Kadet with silencer (29meg):

www.mydatabus.com/6z/vk.argpbz.pbz/brownhen/CZKADET[87].wmv

This is the same Uzi video, but much higher quality at 44 meg:

It will take a few minutes to download these videos, but the quality is much better than on Youtube.

Man, you have the Group Industries stainless M-16, lucky!

I wanted one soooo bad when I was 16 yrs old. I begged my Dad to buy one and told him I would give him the cash. I worked full time during high school and had plenty of $$$.

They were selling the lowers for $500 a piece in 1989.
I couldnt even get an AR then, let alone an M-16, but I knew about them being stainless compared to aluminum and wanted one bad.

I can't part from my Colt M-16-A1 as I have had it since 97, but I can trade a few MACs for one I guess if one appeared on the boards in the near future.

It is one of 'the' have to have guns I want for my collection.

-Quick question, does the Ciener kit leave damage from the ejector rod on your lower?

It did to my model 614, and like an idiot I sold it. Back in 1993 the 614 cost me around $1300. So I really was blind to what was coming price wise. I was anal about guns being absolutely perfect, and that small semi-circular cut from the rod bumping into the lower on the top portion of where the recoil buffer fits in bugged the hell out of me. The friggin 16A1 cost me $3700 a few years later.:slap

Oh well, I envy you having the G.I. stainless M-16, nice rifle.

Thanks, I really got lucky on this one. I was in the market for an M16 and asked an NFA Dealer at a local gunshow if he had one for sale. He said no, but knew a person who was selling a registered receiver. About a week later I was able to look at it and could not believe it was a GI stainless receiver! I've had it approximately 3 or 4 years and will keep it for a long, long time.

The only marks on my lower from the Ceiner kit is where the rear of the Ciener receiver plate pushes back on the top of the threaded area where the buffer tube screws into (hope that makes sense). It is a rub mark where the finish had worn. I haven't tried it, but if a person wanted to avoid this contact they could remove the buffer and spring and insert a solid material into the buffer tube. This solid material (piece of aluminum?) would prevent the Ciener receiver plate from contacting the receiver. It would be a hassle to swap out parts, but it would probably work.

On your stainless gun, it probably will never dent it, but on my aluminum model 614 it did. Omg I was upset when I saw the semi-circular dent. It is where you are talking about on your M-16, where the buffer tube screws into the rear of the receiver.

I cant believe Ciener did not make that rod go flush to the rear plate so it would not damage the receiver. That (_0_) nugget. -lol
