I am ordering a Coastal can for my forthcoming Mini and want to hear your thoughts (pro & con) on this suppressor.
The Coastal unit intrigues me for the fact that it replaces the barrel nut and I dont have to modify my new barrel.
The down side is mainly interchangability.
The price is right there and the level of reduction is also fairly impressive.
So what do YOU think ???

Not sure how to reply, but the barrel nut part is a common mounting for the 9mm/45 Uzi cans, as the barrel slides into the suppressor (sort of a sleeve) that is used for alignment/support. _The only issue I can think of is the Minis' barrel sticks out less than the full size, and if there is an O-ring (like AWC MK9), along with the compensator cuts, O-ring may not sit on solid barrel, and get toasted. Coastal may not be that way.
Not sure what you mean about interchange, but Mark McWillis and SOCOM can make adapter to go from most threads to Uzi can. I supplied a drawing to SOCOM about a yr ago Nov, and they just thread the rear for whatever. I had them do 1 in 1/2-28 to Uzi, and another fella (MadDog) had his done 1/2-20. _I'll try to find the pic I have on disc and load it up.
EDIT to add pic:

I bought my adapter for my Uzi can (AWC MK9) from Socom and it works great (thanks again HAL). I put it on my Kuehl 22 rimfire dedicated upper (see pic). There's another manufacturer who advertises on subguns.com that does the same thing by making various adapters (I can't remember his name?) . Down the road I'm going to buy a rimfire can, but this works for now. So you do have other options. As mentioned previously, I think the short barrel may conflict with the coastal can. I would talk to the manufacturer to confirm.

The Gemtech Mini Mossad runs on the same barrel nut design. Lot more expensive though.

Osprey, now that the boards have changed, I don't have access to the old instant messages.
Email me at cya@cfl.rr.com so we can coordinate shooting my MINI Uzi.

FYI on the Coastal. The nut does not have the ratchets. This may be an issue for you, or may not. That about exausts my usefulness on this topic as I have no Mini and the Uzi and Coastal I do have are still in transfer.
Edited my spelling
