May as well start hyping up the "Largest Machine Gun Shoot in the U.S." with three weeks left. Latest rumors (completely unsubstantiated and likely false):
1) Head of the BATFE will be making an appearance - meeting the customer base, so to speak.
2) R. Lee Ermey (The Gunny on 'Mail Call' and the DI in 'Full Metal Jacket') will be dragging the History Channel's 'Mail Call' video crew to the other largest MG shoot in the U.S.- he already did one at Knob Creek.
3) A certain Mr. Dillon (upon hearing that the Gunny might show up) will do a fly-by in his mini-gun armed chopper and blow the shit out of the mountain side, the designated Jeep or half-track target, and whatever reactive targets are still standing - just for effect. He did this once at another Az. shoot a few years back.
If you live in the western half of the U.S. and you like machine guns of every size/caliber/model, tanks (a tank destroyer, at least), artillery, grenade launchers, and any other DD and AOW stuff and don't attend at least one of these events it's like being a huge baseball fan and passing on free tickets to the World Series. :slap

If you know that you've shot everything there is to shoot, come to Big Sandy and find out that there's at least one more thing you haven't shot. :thumbs_up
