Sub-gun Tacticial Vest

Ok, here is my dilemma. I have been looking for a tactical vest (rig)specifically designed to accommodate 9mm magazines – UZI, MP5, etc. I’ve done a cursory search on the web with limited success. I also checked out the UZITalk search facility and did not find anything specific, so I decided to go to the expert pool. Does anyone know of, or can recommend a tactical vest or rig geared to support just the 9mm sub gun? Thanks in advance, guys. :patriot

HSGI ( http://www.highspeedgearinc.com/ ) universal rifle mag pouches will hold either 2 or 4 Uzi mags. The shock cord keeps the mags from falling out if the lid is open.

The pouches are MOLLE, so they mount on any MOLLE rig (chest, vest, belt) that you want to use. I'm using either the tactical tailor MAV or vest ( http://www.tacticaltailor.com/index.asp?PageAction=VIEWCATS&Category=16 )

Here is mine. Mine was a custom job from Eagle. Silent closures on the mag pouches, and at a convenient angle for withdrawal. Eagle stopped most if not all custom work.

Great vest. WIsh I would have done a modular vest instead, as this vest is limited to only Mp-5 mags. No problem there since I am never selling my H&K Mp-5. Think I will be buried in the vest with Mp-5 across my chest. LOL

That is more along the lines of what I am looking for. Holders designed specifically for either 25 or 32 round 9mm magazines rather than M16 pockets that hold a loose number of magazines. Sorry to hear they no longer do custom work. I will keep looking, though. If I find something worthwhile I'll pass it along to everyone and if any of you should come across something please let me know. Many thanks. :patriot

You may want to try calling Eagle. Ask for John Carver. He owns Eagle. They have been backlogged forever...but you never know. he is a great guy

PS....my vest is strictly for MP-5 mags. When it comes to my Colt CAR-15 9mm, the mags do not fit in the rig I have.

The closures are very cool. The tab part that has the metal hook has a piece of webbing.....with a piece of elastic sewn behind it. THe tab can be pulled down, stretching the elastic.......so that the hook engages the webbing on the mag pouch.....thus closing the pouch. No velcro. Totally silent. Very secure. I love it

Yeah, he's ignoring BOTH of us. I heard from a very reliable source that he helped UT member 9mmsubgun-m11 pick out a new tacticool vest at "The Creek" on Saturday... What's up with all those straps hanging off the vest anyway?

I think those straps form a sort of 'tacticool' garter belt when RD wears his fishnet stockings and pink heels.

Edited to cover my ass... Did I mention that some of the very best subgun match shooters wear tacticool vests? Richard Lage always uses one and consistently finishes in the top spot. It's the vest, yep, it must be the vest. :)
