I heard today at the Knob Creek shoot that DSA no longer has FA 9mm barrels for uzi and I saw the last 5 barrels that vector said thay had (at all, anywhere) sold. Looks like the class 3 uzi croud may need to gear up a US manufacturer for the job of new barrels soon.
I am sure he would do his best to keep a supply going out the door.

I would have thought there would have been plenty of barrrels here on the state side for all of the uzis that are here. I guess I am glad that I bought all the barrels that I did back in the day, I believe I have about 20 + new IMI Chrome lined barrels sitting in my safe.

there are a bunch out there, but I never thought vector would not have a stockpile. I think I hear the price of excellent condition ones climbing...

you are right that there is a bunch out there but most are not Chrome lined that is why I stock up on them when I did.

DSA has been out for months. wish I'd have bought more.
I bought some barrels from Vector a couple of months ago. The price was raised to $55. They told me they were running short, along with everyone else.
I bought a couple of the good condition ones from Ohio Ordnance. They are in the condition advertised, and worth the $15. The excellent condition ones are sold out.
SARCO advertises barrels of different conditions, but I've never bought from them.
Frankly, all the UZI parts seem to be drying up. Just like the FAL parts did.

What would you think a good price would be for a "very good cond. barrel"? D&D Sales has them for 30.00 (don't buy em all up before I can get one, ok).
I plan on three lugging a barrel for my FS so should I try to get a chromed lined, or should I just get one from Mark/TROS, or maybe the Amphib. might have one.

I like to chrome barrels but $30 for a barrel seam like a good price at today market.

If you don't mind sharing, where did you see the barrels at D&D Sales? (linky?) I looked around thier site and couldn't find the "very good cond. barrels".
I promise I won't buy them all up :jester

Does anyone have any reliable info on barrel life? Can anyone say they have personally worn one out? I have accumulated a few extras just on general principle but I figure that is more than a lifetime supply.

Sometimes the barrels get trashed from mishaps due to squibs.
Couldn't hurt to have back-ups.

You gotta call them personally and ask. They are real nice folks. They have other stuff too, but mostly they have semi parts. RD is the one I found out about them from. I'd link the site, but I don't know how.

No problem Ed. I probably shouldn't have put you on the spot. I'd keep 'em too if I was you.
