Looks great DB. Good choice on the finnish. I like the black finish much better than grey parkerizing. Is it powder coat or did they put something else on it?
Man, that is awesome looking!!! :D

Don't recall RD... probably should know, but don't.
Only one thing important to know... Can I use it to beat you again next year at UT shoot? I still feel bad beating you with your own gun! :)
By the way... thanks Dave for all your help as I worked through my acquisition!

DB,
Congrats!!! That is a beautiful looking gun. See you next year. I'm already getting my excuses together as to why I'm gonna get beat by you.

DB,
That sure is sexy. Mazel Tov!! I love the black finish with the early issue IMI sling. Does you lower say AFS or ARS? I can't see clearly in the photo. Are you planning on coloring in the selector markings and if so how?

I must say DB, that is one good looking FA Uzi.
It just sounds good doesn't it? Full Auto Uzi.
It has quite a nice ring to it.
Some day I will come down and shoot it.

What's wrong with your kit? You might be able to fix it yourself.

It's an IMI receiver, plain jane full size. I seem to remember the bolt would not pick up the round on top of the magazine and would gouge the side of the bullet causing a FTF. Would love to get the kit working, its for the children right??? Gun works great in 9mm

I wish I knew how to link threads, but their are some things you can try before you send it. Look for Vegas's thread on this or PM me. I learned a lot jacking around with mine.

I wish I knew how to link threads,
The way I do it is... when you find the thread you want to link, just right click and a box will pop up, then left click on "copy shortcut". Then when you respond to a thread and you want to make reference to the link, just right click again and a box will pop up, then left click on "paste".
That should link the thread you want others to see.
There may be better ways, but it's the way I do it.

Made it back from other side of the world... was hard to keep up with this post I started...

Wonderful people there, kept safe by military and police... they were always very kind to us Americans!

Jerusalem and many of the surrounding areas are safer that some of our cities... ever wonder why?

Only saw one Uzi in use while in Israel... a "Mini" in hand by a guard at the exit of the secured area of the western (Wailing) wall. I didn't have the courage to ask him for a picture!
Every soldier we saw carried an M-16; the young (looked like 16 year olds!) freedom fighters carried old M-1 carbines.

Glad you made it home safe DB.
I hope you had a great time.
I'd like to visit there someday myself.
