I’ve run into a small problem while refinishing a QD wood stock that I purchased recently to use with my SBR Vector SA UZI. I noticed when checking the fit of the mounting bracket it would not slide into the front most retaining lug. It looks as though the “U” shaped cut in the mounting bracket is smaller than the rectangular cut of the retaining lug. The depth of the cut (bracket thickness less indent cut) appears to be OK. To your knowledge is the QD mounting bracket supposed to be a one size fits all design, or did IMI (or whomever) size them differently for military MG’ than for the civilian counterpart? If it’s supposed to be a generic mount then I probably can open it up somewhat with a hand grinder, but I would much prefer replacing it with a proper fitting bracket for a cleaner install if that is the case. Has anyone run into this before? :patriot

I've had to open up the "U" a bit on two wooden QD stocks that I fit to my SBR Norinco 320. It's a "File-try-file" lather, rinse, repeat deal. You dont' want to take too much off and have it all loose and rattly.

Thanks, NZ. That little voice in the back of my head told me that I would most likely need to do some custom fitting, but I thought I'd present the problem just to make doubly sure. :patriot

I had to file mine as well. I'm sure that he spec on the Vector guns may be just a tad off comared to IMI.
