Hello all,

I have been trying to find a few pics of the Croatian army actually using an Uzi, but I seem to have no luck, with the exception of the two small photos here:

any others?

TIA,

That's a great start! Anyone have any others? I think they manufactured their own UZI's over there.

Yes, I read that in SAR. There is a picture in one of the issues of a Croation Uzi as well as MINI Uzi. They are the only other country I know of that has reproduced the MINI Uzi. I can't remember the name but they also call the Uzi's something else too.
I have just about every SAR issue but don't know which one had the picture. I'd have to dig through them unless someone else knows.

Ok, I know these maybe getting a little old, but I always like to see "in use" pics, not just "safe queens"....

In the other literature about this brigade, they also use the mini Uzi.

Exactly correct! We love this stuff. In fact, if we can get info info on the UZI in Croatia, I'd love to have a page on it in the UZI Talk Library.

A little off topic, but those Croat uzi mag pouches sold by Vector are really nice. I dunno how they can make them so cheap. Holds 6 mags. Comes with a cleaning rod (in two pieces), patch and oil bottle full of oil. Brand new camoflauge canvas.

Whatever happened to Mick Porno? The guy had these really nice mag rugs. He was supposedly making some for uzi mags. I got sick of listening to my mags clank together in my range bag and bought a couple of the Croat bags to see how they were. Once I got them, I immediately ordered six more. Pretty hard to beat at $15 each.

A friend of mine Bob Forbes took this photo of two soldiers who were standing guard over the fleet of F4U Corsairs, A-26 Invaders, and P-51 Mustangs based at Toncontin Air Base in Tegucigalpa, Honduras during December of 1979. Bob was one of the ferry pilots that risked his neck flying the derelict Corsairs back to the United States. There was a write up on this recovery entitled "The Great Honduran Corsair Caper" that was written a while back.

Hmmm. For some reason my Webshots host isn't allowing the photo to show up immediately. I was able to get it to show by right clicking on the red 'X', then selecting 'Show Picture'. Let me know if that works, otherwise I'll look for a new photo host.

I used to use AOL photos host, but they changed their format with 9.0 and now I can't access my old ISP page. :buttkick

I did some checking and the name of the Croatian Uzi is the Ero.
Do a search on Google for it.
I did see some threads stating that it was superior to the Uzi while they never mention how that is.
I would be very curious to see what it looks like especially the guts of it.

This photo was taken by a Dutch volunteer fighting for the Croatian Army/HOS in Croatia in the early 1990's. Note the Uzi on the far right.

i had heard, the ERO was a not lizensed copy of the IMI-UZI, but
rumors says the israeli was involved to make it goin on. they simply would make a lot of money... but not official, because at yougoslavia was war, and embargoes on imports of weapons.

but this is only a rumor, i don't know is it true or not

uh..i hope you can read this http://www.whq-forum.de/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/rolleyes.gif

Very interesting Mini.

The P210 Sigs are just beautifully manufactured. I have one of the earlier 1949 models.
