Received a call this morning from the dealer saying that he had just received my Vector Uzi, and I could come in any time before 3:00pm today to check her out...So of course I promptly called the boss and asked if I could get off a few hours early this afternoon :D !
I'm always apprehensive about purchasing a firearm out of state, but I was pleased to see that it was in the exact condition specified, basically brand new. I was suprised at how heavy it was, but I can only imagine it helps control in F/A mode. Pulling that cocking lever handle back was smooth as butter. I cannot WAIT to do a mag dump!
Anyway, I'm in the process of licking the envelope on MY paper work and it's heading out the door tonight. I figure with the rate it was approved from a private individual to my dealer, my corporate transfer shouldn't take any more then 2 months tops. It'd make my year if I got it before x-mas, but I won't hold my breath :uzi . I can't friggin wait!!!

Excellent news Gun Shot! You're going to love it. Are you going to have a chance to shoot it before your form 4 is approved?
Did you tell your boss that you needed the time off to go visit your new machine gun?

I never went to see mine at the dealer. I didn't want to tease myself. It was easier to put it out of my mind that way. When I got it though I was glad I waited, I really wanted to take it home.

Great news, man. Next time you're in, ask Greg to show you the .300 Whisper suppressor if it hasn't transfered yet. That is one HUGE MF!
If you're interested, shoot me a PM and I'll let you know when we're shooting FA up Boulder way or over at GGC (during week days).

Unfortunately, I won't have a chance to shoot it while I wait for the transfer, but that's ok, it just makes the whole thing a bit more exciting once I do get to take her home.
Dustin, I dunno about all that. I understand what you're saying, but for me the thought of paying that much money for something, having the ability to go inspect it, but not acting on the opportunity would probably turn out bad somehow. Going to see the Uzi just confirms the condition of the product that I paid for since previously I had only seen crappy polaroids of it, gives me more confidence in the decision I made to purchase it, makes me all warm and fuzzy, and gives me something to look forward to.
MF, Greg gave me some info for Dragon Man's shoot for November 8th, looks like it's going to be fun. He mentioned something about them blowing up a camper last shoot, and I believe he said something about this time they are going to blow up a house. Supposedly some dude's divorce finalized who lives out on the land, he's decided to move, and he wants them to blow the old place to smitherines. Definitely want to try and see that. I'll throw ya a pm once I get the Uzi home and we'll plan on meeting up to throw some brass.

Oh yeah, RoverDave, I forgot...I didn't tell my soccer mom boss anything about the evil smg. As far as she was concerned, my girlfriends car was going back into the shop to have repair work redone, because they didn't use OEM parts the first time. That would have actually been true, only we're doing that on Monday :devil :rock_star :laugh
