Food Update!

I am pleased to report that we will be dining on real Russian food thanks to Commissar Freddy and one of our attendees who also happens to work in an authentic Russian resturant. Can this event get any better?

Well perhaps if Comrade Kruschev would return from his extended tour of Siberia and pay us a visit.... [:)]

Red December Update!

Comrades,

Our Sunday Red December shoot is less than 48 hours away. Time to check and make sure you have everything required.

1. A functional rifle: preferably of Soviet origin ie AK, SKS, SVT, or Mosin Nagant.
2. At least Three Magazines.
3. At least 150 rounds of ammo.
4. An old tee shirt to be used as a target.
5. A good pair of boots as it may be damp/muddy in places.
6. A good appetite for our Russian inspired chow.
7. A positive attitude with respect to safety.
8. Eye and Ear protection, knee and elbow pads might also be useful.
9 Cash for the entrance fee.
10. If you have not emailed me yet that you are coming please do so lastdefender@aol.com

Please plan on arriving no later than 9:30AM. You should dress for conditions. I have it on good authority from Pravda that we will not be rained on. It will however be in the upper 30's to low 40s. You will need to dress accordingly. If you can car pool with a buddy that would be great as parking is limited at the big bore range. If you do not have a Soviet Block rifle, your capitlist rifles will be permitted......

We look forward to seeing everyone on Sunday.

Regards,
Gary

The forcast for Red December continues to improve! This is no doubt the work of our dear Comrade Khruschev.

Lastly Comrades....by the time many of you read this, we will be less than 24 hours from Red December. Our Commissar has asked that you turn up your computer speakers, remove your hats or covers and sing along with the following.....http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xDSWn8RQDCU

That did look like fun and a great concept! We had at least three Mosins, a hand full of AKs, one Saiga 12, one SKS, and one RPD at our New Year's Day shoot. Russian built/designed guns ARE cool!
