Okay fellas,

I'm new to the board and have a question. I bought a full auto IMI uzi and the paperwork is in process. The gun has been an individuals inventory for quite a while and likely has not been fired in years. Where do I get some buffers and who did I get them from?

Thanks in advance,

21Bravo

21Bravo, welcome to UZI Talk! We love to hear about new UZI's being transferred. You're going to love it.

As for buffers, guy had been buying the semi buffers and cutting them down. But recently, UZI Talk member blackjack as started making buffer sets. Three buffers so you can choose a ROF that suits you. Check out this thread for the details:

Keep us updated on your new UZI!!

I'm primarily concerned about the standard buffer which is in the gun. Do the uzi buffers deteriorate like the M11/9 buffers. When you could buy full auto M11/9's NIB the buffers were generally toast from sitting for years.

Who has the regular buffers. I actually prefer the slow rate of fire of the standard Uzi. I used to think the faster the better but over the last few years I've went the other direction.

Thanks fellas,

I sell a 1/4" replacement buffer that won't increase the ROF as well as thicker ones. Pics are on my website if you want to see them.

People often times call the red pad on the back of the SMG recoil spring a "buffer" even though it's only real purpose is to hold the back of the recoil spring in place. I don't think they're easily replaceable if broken off the recoil spring. One of Blackjack's 1/4" buffer is a good alternative to replacing the whole recoil spring just to fix the original pad.
