View Full Version : Anyone used the .45 Uzi drums made by BarrelXchange?
I came across a picture of a 50 round .45 acp drum that supposedly had a feed tower for an Uzi. I was wondering if anyone here had any experience with them. From what I understand they are made by BarrelXchange and are also made for Riesing and I think Mac10/45. I was just wanting to know if they were reliable and well-built. Thanks and merry Christmas.

No, they aren't reliable yet. I bought one over a year ago with an UZI tower and it didn't work. Troy took it back and I've been waiting ever since. The last I heard he said maybe after Christmas.

RD's right the UZI feed towers on the drum is not right yet, it would run sluggishly. I have a design change to try next week, that should solve it.
But the Reising drums are running fine:clap
I have 25 more drums started
Merry Christmas

What exactly do you mean by sluggishly?
I guess I should have clarified in my original post that I have a .45 AR upper from Oly and, assuming that the feed tower is long enough, I'd be welding on a block to the tower for use in that. And it's not NFA, so ROF is not really an issue.
What is the price range on these, if that's not against Forum Rules.
And Merry Christmas yourself!

On mine, sluggish meant the first 30 rounds would fire fine and then it would jam because friction at that point in the drum rotation prevented the stack of rounds to pushed up properly.
