I ran into this just now and thought it was just a tad bit biased it's a nice looking gun anyway. Nice Mini the guy is attempting to shoot as well.

I chuckled to see the dudes head fly back when shooting the mini uzi.. Anyone know how to say cheek weld in Russian :eek

Interesting. Looks like he was trying to show the MINI UZI as being unreliable as he got a light primer strike.
He was using the closed bolt configuration where you can have some light strikes which can be caused by many different things including ammo.
He also had the Micro charging handle on his topcover.

I'll admit that I believe the Mini to be more reliable in open bolt which is not desirable nowadays for a SMG / PDW sized firearm as everyone seems to want closed bolt for firearms that fit in that category.

I find it impressive for people still today to compare new firearms against the UZI which says a lot about the UZI's reputation for one of the finest SMG's ever made.

At 1:35 into the video after the Uzi fails to fire because of the light primer strike, he starts talking to the camera. Translated, he says, "Schitty Remington green box ammo! You wouldn't have that with Wolf or Barnaul!"

The guy in the video is in a lot of videos online and seems to be a little firearms bad ass.. It just urks me to think that anyone would compare apples to oranges like that. Suppressed vs not suppressed, optics vs no optics, firm grip vs sloppy handling. That demonstration lacked integrity to the nth degree for sure.

but.. it was nice watching. I think your translation is right on Noah heheh...

I was going to ask someone for the translation of the video after that second jam/misfire.

As for light primer strike, hardly that, it was a hard primer strike. Why it did not fire would be ammo related as the weapon appears to have provided adequate primer strike. Can't say about the first misfire/jam though. Also was there a third misfire/jam as well in that video?

Sorry to say the uzi is an old girl at age 50, no doubt the latest and greatest built by a first rate manufacture is going to have.
-all parts new, not worn, not out of spec. Allot of us have old worn parts on our weapons which though they may seem to work could act up at the least desirable times.
-built by the original manufacturer so all parts in spec with none of the after market generic stuff that allot of us and others are putting on our firearms.
-Not over accessorized as allot of our uzi's are with all those fancy ammo loads, silencers mismatched to weapon, stupid long barrels to meet the SBR requirements, a bastardized striker system instead of the simple firing system (the before two are for those in the blue states), no fancy site mount pushing on the sides of the receiver squishing it against the bolt, and so on
-Incorporates newer design knowledge not available when the UZI was designed and newer materials and newer manufacturing technology to provide consistent parts manufacture.

Most of us would expect that a first rate firearms manufacture could build an uzi type weapon (pistol caliber, magazine in pistol grip, telescoping bolt, short barrel, select fire) that is better and more reliable though there seems to be some question about more affordable when you have folks like Vector pumping out uzi's at $600 and home builders putting together home builds for $400 or less (though maybe those days are gone since kit prices are approaching Vector new build prices).

GOOD VIDEO and nice of you to link it.

MERRY CHRISTMAS AND HAPPY NEW YEARS EVERYONE!

You don't think these guys would have put a dummy round into that second Uzi mag, would you?

Nah.

They wouldn't do that.

Would they?

+1 on the closed bolt set up. My thoughts exactly.
