I just received a few new vector .22 20 rd. mags and they all failed to feed. Seems they all have the cartridge sitting at too steep an angle. Was wondering if it is feed lip related or more follower related. Maybe some of both?? When compared to my 28 rounders that feed flawlessly, these have different follower design. At the rim end they all are cut off at a 45 degree slope not straight like the 28 rounders. I can do my own troubleshooting just looking for suggestions.

can you post a pic of both the 28 and your new 20rd mag so I can see what you are talking about?

Will try. The mag on left is 28 rounder and works.

The simplest thing to try is to put the follower from the 28 round mag into the 20 round mag and see if that helps. If not, the second thing to check is the gap between the feed lips. Its hard to keep a perfect gap when they get welded on. If the gap is larger on the new mags, that might allow the cartridge to point up more.

As RD mentioned measure the gap. If they are not close you can try pinching them in a vise, be very careful though. If it is the same or real close try swapping the followers. If that cures your problem then I would file your 20rd follower to match the 28rders. Worst case, you can send it back to vector and they will swap it for you.

I have old 20rd & 28rd mags, and some new 28 round mags I just bought. Funny thing is, I've never seen the follower on the the left with the holes in it. Is this is for sure a Vector follower for a SMG mag and not a semi auto mag (I don't own a FS SA)?
Anybody have any FA 20's that they want to sell, PM me.

Actually those aren't holes just reflections from the flash. Plastic circles from the casting. Thanks for all the suggestions. I'll try them out at the range tomorrow. I have a feeling it is the feed lip spacing.
