Whenever I see pics of shoots from the Las Vegas area, I have this mental image that ya'll Vegans just pull off the road whenever the spirit moves and just start doing mag dumps. :jester
Are those pics of an "official gun range" or someones property or just the side of the road?

That's BLM property in part of a beautiful valley and it belongs to all of us. That mountain backstop is a good half mile away. Shoot all the jacks and 'yotes you want... they're considered varmints with no limit or season.
Yeah we're very lucky in that we pretty much drive outside of town, stop and do mag dumps. :)

Does that hold true for non-residents?

Does that hold true for non-residents? I'd hate to assume that. I don't know for sure but I wouldn't want to drive to our neighboring states of Utah or Arizona and start calling and killing Coyotes.
For Nevada residents, I do know that no hunting licence is needed, but you damn sure better not shoot a cottontail, pygmy cottontail, or a whitetail jack-rabbit or you're toast unless the season is on and you have a valid hunting licence. Black tail jacks only, and of course they're the most prevelent.

I guess I can't complain.
I walk out of my concrete gun room, and do mag dumps.

Nope.... actually, I'll usually hear 2 - 3 people start up with their guns, shortly after I do. I'm beginning to think its a firearms mating call or something. :D
Oddly enuf, the crime rate is VERY low in our neighborhood. None, far as I know in the 5 years we been there.
Now Jason AC556's neighbors....THEY'LL call the cops. Not that he cares.

Vegas SMG... Were you a member of one of the teams....? The short answer is no, with an explanation. I didn't want to freeze my ass off!
We have a great North/South rivalry here in Nevada as do many states with their football teams. It's no different here with our colleges, politics, and that extends to good natured kidding between the southern crew, (Las Vegas area), and the Northern crew, (Reno/Carson City area), on the ARFCOM Nevada Hometown forum.
This past weekend was selected to be one of several jack rabbit hunts we do strictly for bragging rights several times a year. We talk a lot of smack and then hunt all night to come up with a winner. With the largest winter storm of the season due to hit over the weekend, I bailed out.
The crew from Northern Nevada got several feet of snow and Fernley, a Reno suburb, had a levee break and suffered major flooding. Needless to say, their hunt was canceled by severe weather. The crazies from southern Nevada braved the cold front pushing thru and the wind gusts of 50+ mph and flurries and light rain to tally their impressive kill. Yeah, I'm too damn old to endure that kind of cold, windy weather all night long.
I'd forgotten you don't condone the killing of animals for fun or sport. Sorry, I didn't intend to offend anyone.
What, no head shots?
I'd have used my shotgun anyway JJ. What head shots? :nana

Hey, not me personally..... Even though I am not a hunter (any more), I would still like the chance to bag some P-dogs and Jacks. Damn, I miss the "ole days" of fast action Dove Hunts in Mississippi. The last dove hunts I went on really SUCKED...............

You'd love a Mexican dove hunt. They're not federally protected migratory game birds in Mexico, and there's no limit. Besides, where do you think they migrate too? :evilgrin
I spoke to The Godfather today and he's getting set for his annual MLK dove hunting trip. I've seen the photos and the mounds of birds in the photos is absolutely unbelievable. They shot enough birds in a couple of days to feed the village for months. I've got to make the trip one of these years...
Hello Tom and to everyone else. Looks like you guy's had a great time. I enjoyed the pics and the video. The Tromix looked nice setting next to that bueatiful MK5!:thumbs_up

Oh yeah, I scored...... :)I removed the sights from my gun so I could practice for Texas. ;)
Yeah, that's it... You'll also notice I'm actually shooting from the HIP, not using indiscriminate, un-aimed fire from UNDER the shoulder. :devil At least I know how to do it correctly!
I wanted to shoot like Mike Duke, but I hate it when I get busted by you guys. :bang
