For you guys that have "been there done that", what do you think is the best VFG for the BarrelxChange pic rail? I know it's all personal preference, but I'm trying to get some kind of consensus.:uzi

I cringe every time I hear this question.
Whatever you get, get a high quality VFG with a screw that goes through the slots in the rail and holds it firm, preventing slippage.....
Ask me how I know....

For the record, I'm fine now. Just a cool scar and a story left to show.

I like the KAS grips. Not mine, but great deals on these at the buy it now price. Usually twice the money and worth it.

OK, HOW did that happen? Did your hand get in front of the muzzle when the VFG let go? Or is that just from the rail ripping your hand?

Yeah, what happened is that I was shooting my FA FS with a rail and VFG and the stock folded. VFG slipped off the rail, my left hand was in front of the muzzle for 2 shots- one ripped my hand open, the other clipped the end of my thumb. Big powder burn.
2 hrs in surgery, went to work the next day, then off to a convention in Vegas for 5 days. Never missed a minute of work. I'm an eye surgeon. Got really lucky.
Moral of the story, don't buy cheap shit (it came with the gun), and always make sure your VFG is securely attached or that there's enough real estate between your hand and the muzzle to avoid what happened to me.

here's my Vector with the BarrelXchange rail and a TDI SVG. It's rock solid.
