rail system on a pistol?

i was thinking of getting the picatinny rail system for my vector mini pistol and was wondering if it is legal for a pistol... i know i cant put a front grip on it, but i do want to put a light on there...

Yes, it's legal. Most pistols today are coming out with integrated rails on them.
