A very limited discussion has been made about the possibility of a beta c-mag in 9mm for uzi's after the AWB goes away next year. We know that there is a beta c-mag made for the mp5 series so it could be possible to make one for uzi's, however a contact has said that it might be cost prohibitive to make one. I for one would buy one as long as the cost is under 500. How many of you guys would like to have one. For the class three owners I believe it would be an awesome addition to the collection and for the semi guys it would be fun too. Let me hear about it so that we can forward the infor to get this project started.

I would buy one. If not a Uzi unit, then perhaps some type of conversion on the MP5 unit.

I've never seen a Beta in person, just photos, so I have a question. All Betas have dual drums with the feed tower in the middle, right? Wouldn't it be a bit hard to use the mag release on an Uzi with one of the drums blocking it? The feed tower would have to be quite long, otherwise. I think a single drum would work better.

you guys are crazy paying $800 plus for a dumb 100 round drum that is prone to breaking

They won't be $800 if the ban on hicap mags goes away.

If they make it large enough for a 40S&W round to feed I'd be interested

Yes I do believe there are a couple of things that would have to be worked out like the feed tower length etc.. but if the ban goes away the cost will be much improved and the product more apt to sell. So the R&D that would have to be put into it might very well be worth it. Right now let us consider the possibilities.

You guys really think the AWB will go away? Frankly, I'm afraid things will get worse, not better.

The Republicans are keeping quiet on it and the DemocRats are realizing its a vote killer.

I expect it to go away, Dems will make some gains and then make it worse if they win the majorities they want by lying about their "moderate positions" with the mass media support they own.

I plan to buy much during the "grace period".

Then again the sheeple might actually realize that they are slaves and throw off the yoke of oppression...Nah never happen. :(

Time to oil the model B

Be Happy :)

What about a hopper, like on paint ball guns. Then you could just dump a 1,000 rounds in it and shoot all day. If brought the wife or a friend out with you, you could hand them a shovel and put them to work stoking your uzi hopper.

I like this idea! But to improve on it, use a backpack hopper with a flexable feed chute like on Mini-Gun running to the mag well. :heavy

As was posted above, the conventional shape of a Beta will not work on an Uzi because of the magazine well location...in the handle.

The C&S or Vector drums are about as close as it gets currently and unless there is a radical departure from current designs, a Beta won't work. Besides, how much ammo do you think can be carried around in a mag without stressing the welds and sheetmetal?

Much over the current 72 rd drums is a bit overkill and impractical.
I think the current drum design is reliable once tweaked and the capacity is sufficient for most to have fun. To double it will turn holding the gun up into a chore rather than a fun experience.

I'm out on a beta...my Vectors and C&S are just fine.

I'm definitely in for one, if under $500.
