I'm about to get my FFL to order me a receiver but i need some help on which one to get..There are 2 ads in SGN for Semi IMI receivers. both are the same price and new. One is from SARCO and the other is an ad from New Helvetia Trade Group(NHM CO). Does anybody have any opinions or exprerience with either of these co's especially in the way of one of these receivers???? All i need to do is decide on which one and i hope i can do this by this afternoon..
Thanks ALOT,
Jeremy

I think there are at least a couple of people here with receivers from New Helvetia Trade Group. Maybe they can share some opinions.

I got mine from New Helvetia Trade Group it was nice
I have a feeling that the sarco ones are exactly the same. I bet one company sells to the other or they both got them from the same place.

OK, I am stupid... These are 100% complete receivers, correct? Where does someone buy UZI parts to complete one? I know about the UZI SMG parts kits as I have one or two but I also know that most of these parts are unusable in building a semiauto UZI.

Can someone share the light on just where you would buy the parts to assemble one of these? I might just be interested in trying to assemble one myself if only I had a clue where to start...

Thanks:eek!

You can get everything you need to build a semi from D & D Sales (http://www.danddsales.com/parts.html).

Thanks for the link and I think I had better not start reading this or I will get the foolish notion I need to build an UZI too....

Ooops too late:D

I hate to ask but what is a "semi" uzi? Never heard of such a thing. I think mine was supposed to be. I just never moved the selector there.

Enough of the humor. I know it is too late but doesn't Vector have a bunch of Semi recievers?? I wonder if they would sell them at a good price stripped??

I've sent SARCO 3 emails with no response from any in 6 days! My gun dealer doesnt even know if the damn thing is in the mail or not. This is really pissing me off. done venting..I will let yall know IF and when it gets here on the quality and such.

I have 3 IMI marked 45acp, they are new and totally finished with inventory tags still on them. I also have a couple of IMI semi bolts as well. I would like 350.00 each on the IMI receivers shipped to your FFL if interested.
I also have 2 or 3 Norinco Uzi's I would like to get rid of.
As to Sarco and New Helvitia, there are no import papers available and Sarco is ordering from NH on the per order basis.

There has been allot of dispute over whether the receivers are legal or not.
Due to the absence of the papers, nobody can produce them.
Others have backed out of the deals on puchasing any or all of those receivers, they have sat in a warehouse for a long time because of the import paper problem.

#1, the problem persist's where, if BATF finds them to be illegally imported, they sweep them up.

#2, If the problem comes to that, the importer is held responsible.

Bigger problem, as nobody knows who and how.
I talked with a friend about this about 5 years ago, he and I determined then that "they" were letting out enough rope to hang one's self in an ultimate un happy ending.

If this should happen, buyers will be out of thier money after a visit to collect the uzi, the assembled uzi could possibly be a FET problem, but not likely as long as it is 922 compliant and the buyer didn't assemble and sell for profit.

If the buyer were to be a type 01 FFL, and not a 07 MFG, they could be MFG. without a license.

As to getting your money back? Good luck, because, if you can't find the import papers, how could you find the importers?

They were imported in the mid to late 90's and warehoused in California, think about that for awhile.
Hmmm, held in a warehouse in Cali, Hmmm dureing the Clinton Administration, Hmmm.

Man, finally managed to get my receiver from my dealer yesterday. Its just a lil scratched on the ears of the receiver. Its about 95-96% i guess. Over-all im very happy with it. One question though, why is it marked Model 45, 45ACP???? I figured they would have been marked mostly 9mm?
Thanks,
Jeremy
