Trigger guard on micro & pistol

What's the scoop on the trigger guard of the Micro-Uzi and the pistol? I've seen some photos with the angular front end of the trigger guard and some with rounded trigger guards. Are they replacements or was the designed changed at some point in time?

i personally have 2 pistols and one has each of what you describe .. i think that the angular guard is for easier control .. i find i wrap my finger of my left hand around the angled guard for better control with hip shots ..  the pistol with the round guard is a little more difficult to shoot ..  i dunno which was made first .. i suppose i could check serial numbers .. im assuming that would tell .. ill check and update later ..
