Today when I was shooting my FA uzi, the gun would shoot FA while the selector was on semi. I was shooting Greek Olympic ammo out of the 40 rd mags Vector sells. I had some Winchester in IMI 25 round mags and it worked fine (semi only). I ran out of Winchester ammo before I could try some in the 40 rd mags to see if it was the mags or the Olympic ammo.
Its only the 2nd time I used the 40 rounders and the first time I had used them they were jamming on me. Before I used them this time, I took them apart and cleaned and oiled them. No jams, just bursts on semi. Anyone else have problems with the Olympic ammo short cycling in their guns?

I haven't shot the Olympic stuff in an UZI but I've shot it in other subguns and I don't like it. It's underpowered and could be the cause you your problem.

I had the same problem with bursts in semi in my F/A Vector. As rover Dave stated the Olympic ammo is weak and will cause the gun to short cycle not letting the sear reset.

I've got a few strippers left and I'm going to use it in a handgun instead.

More than likely its the cause of your problem.

A magazine should't cause a problem like that unless it was causing the bolt to drag across the top, in which case there would be visible marks on the feed lips and you'd be having failures to fire or eject.

The Greek stuff might work in a subgun with a lighter bolt and recoil spring than an Uzi.
